zub zirc

the music of the spheres, orbits, and the straight lines of the horizon – the zirc face was up until now only available as part of our high-end stainless steel line. we have adapted the zirc face to the popular polyurethane zub body while introducing some great new colors evoking the sky, leaves and fruits of equatorial jungles.

the zirc is also the interface variation i designed as "nooka training wheel" as some people are intimidated by the zen h and zen v faces. the dots of the zirc occupy familiar points in space referencing an analog watch dial, while the minute bar is pure nooka.

i'd say the original zirc night version [all black] is a versatile elegant piece of jewelery and the new zub iteration is for sweaty raves or licking fruit juice off of people's bodies – so obviously you need both! get yours here! they ship february 10th [or slightly sooner]. the zirc nt is available here.

In response to the tragic events in Haiti, Nooka Inc. will donate 10% of all online purchases* between January 21st and February 21st to Architecture for Humanity. Although food aid is important, it is a temporary solution. A better Haiti must be structurally prepared to weather another earthquake or hurricane.

Architecture for Humanity is a nonprofit design services firm founded in 1999. They are building a more sustainable future through the power of professional design. Recently, Architecture for Humanity launched a fund-raising appeal to support long term reconstruction efforts in Haiti. learn more about them or make a direct donation here.

nooka sighting: T.O. show

sorry to post this late as this was monday night. when we're talking about T.O., we're not referring to football. the cast of the T.O. show made a trip to vegas to celebrate mo's bachelorette party and while poolside, the cast could be seen sporting their nooka watches. seen here is kita wearing the red zub. be sure to catch the full episode of the T.O. show at vh1.com and order your very own nooka. [terrell owens for the uninitiated. i was told he was a cowboy at one point, but he seems more like a former football player than a cowpoke!]

nooka is available at fine shops and online here.

also, don't forget to vote for nooka at pulchra. the voting process may seem a bit tedious, but it is actually really simple. simply drag nooka to the number 1 spot, if that's your choice of course and choose the other 9 objects until you have completed your list. In order for your vote to be valid, you will need to complete the details form. remember you can only vote ONCE PER DAY, so make sure to log on the next day and do it all over again. link is here!

color story sage

as an experiment, i gave my interns the challenge of telling a color story for our zubs. 2.0 was given the color sage.

Den här Nookan påminde mig om en dryck vi har i Sverige som bryggs på träskvatten värmt i heta källor. Jag tror det kallas grönt te här

you can buy the model featured here.
